Years of experience as a first-responder to disasters and
calamities have taught us a lot about the chaos that goes on
after an event of this magnitude. Hundreds of millions of
dollars of relief and aid have already been given but there is a
limit to how much can be effectively used at one time, even in
the midst of such desperate need. For this reason, instead of
making your gift towards relief, would you consider making a
gift to Warm Blankets Orphan Care for the “Haiti Orphan
Crisis”?
When you support Warm Blankets Orphan Care in Haiti, your
gifts will be applied only to areas where we have strengths that
others don’t, and only when we are sure your dollars will bring
about effectiveness. We focus on long term transformational
work as we raise thousands of children around the world and
restore their childhoods in Christ. Your gifts will contribute to
that process in Haiti as soon as the dust settles and the chaos
calms so we can get to work doing what we do best – rescuing
orphans and raising them as family in Church Orphan Homes.
First Steps in a Long Journey
We already have commitments to build five Church Orphan
Homes and your gift will go directly to providing homes for
hundreds of orphaned children to grow up and have a second
chance at childhood. Right away, you can provide them basic
needs for a fresh start, like new clothing. The homes will also
need furnishings like beds, chairs, and tables as well as water
storage tanks and cooking utensils. As homes are being
established, we will begin training caregivers in how to care for
children who have experienced a trauma; a program that was
highly effective in Indonesia after the Tsunami.  It is a
wonderful way for the caregivers and children to grow closer
together and work through grief issues as a family.
As you can see, the work in Haiti is only just beginning and we
need your help! Will you join us in restoring childhoods in
Christ? We know that God can raise up a generation of leaders
who will transform Haiti - will you believe with us?
Please consider making a gift to provide for the needs of the
“Haiti Orphan Crisis”.
